Jorge Esteban Guzman Chosen NYPL's Best Player Tuesday, September 27th , 2005
The manager of the Williamsport Crosscutters said he thinks Jorge Esteban Guzman is only going to get better as he gets older.
He may only be 21, but it will be hard to top the right fielder's 2005 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the New York-Pennsylvania League Most Valuable Player Award.
His winning campaign featured a .358 batting average and a .450 on-base percentage this year. In 72 games he piled up 100 hits, 21 doubles, no triples, 24 home runs, 88 RBIs and 70 runs scored.
