Bauserman on Fire, Strikes out 15 Dust Devils Tuesday, July 26th , 2005 Everything was working for Joe Bauserman at Everett Memorial Stadium. He had the perfect delivery. The ball was moving. The fastball was working. In an unforgettable performance, the 19-year-old Bauserman fanned 15 Dust Devils and sparked the 7-1 Everett AquaSox victory over Tri-City. He left Dust Devils hitters mumbling and muttering at the plate. And when he needed a strikeout, he got it. "I don't know if there are many times that I've seen him throw better," said Everett manager Eli Rodriguez. "His location and command were really something." In addition to collecting 15 strikeouts over 7.1 innings, Bauserman allowed 5 hits and 1 walk in a superlative outing. "I thought I'd make it easy on the guys today," Bauserman said with a smile. In 3 starts this season, Bauserman has rung up a 1-2 record and a 4.59 ERA. |
