Reus 5-for-6 Against Dutchess County Friday, July 2nd , 2032 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Isaias Reus is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Dutchess County Channel Cats at The Lockar Room today. The monster effort from the 21-year-old first baseman helped the South Bend Cubs take the win, 21-4. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Channel Cats manager Cesar Crespo. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Isaias Reus grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run triple in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Frank Drenth in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 7th.
