Brian Baker Gets MVP Trophy

The future looks extremely bright for Brian Baker. At the age of 22, many players are still trying to find their way in VBL Rookie League.
Baker has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Ford Conference Outstanding Hitter Award.
"I didn't expect to hit .358 this year, that's for sure," the right fielder said.
The Kauai Chiefs star also put up a .428 on-base percentage this year, with 153 hits, 23 doubles, 8 triples, 13 home runs, 86 RBIs and 78 runs scored.
He received 23 first place votes out of a possible 28. Stanley Torres of the Kauai Chiefs finished second in voting, while Bob Phillips of the Emerald Wizards finished third.

2023 ZAP Best Player, Mesa's Suzuki

Masaharu Suzuki took VBL Rookie League by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 18.
For his spectacular campaign, the Mesa Squirrels star has been named the 2023 Zaphod Conference Outstanding Hitter Award recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the third baseman.
On the season he compiled a .326 batting average to go with a .430 on-base percentage. The native of Osaka, Japan also added 33 doubles, 2 triples, 21 home runs, 82 RBIs and 94 runs scored.
He received 28 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Woody Davis of the Kemmisville Wieners finished second in voting, while Leonard Kramer of the Mukilteo Clams finished third.
