Kitakawa Takes FORD Top Starter Trophy Thursday, July 1st , 2032 Nobuyori Kitakawa of Whistler had an award-winning June as he took home the Ford Conference Pitcher of the Month award. "He told me once people used to make fun of the way he pitches," Kitakawa's pitching coach told reporters. "There wasn't anybody laughing in June except for Nobuyori." Kitakawa was all business when he took the mound though, collecting a 4-0 record in 5 starts. He struck out 27 batters in 34.2 innings and kept opponents to a .238 batting average. So far in 15 appearances this season, Kitakawa has recorded 10 wins and sustained 2 losses. He has pitched 93.1 innings, yielded 88 hits, fanned 71 and has a 3.18 ERA. |
