Nieves Bangs 3 HR Against Tofield Tuesday, May 25th , 2032 Júlio Nieves was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 19-1 Charlotte Webs triumph at Pokey Reddick Park today. The 18-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Webs past the Tofield Braves. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Nieves told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The right fielder went 4-for-5, rung up 6 RBIs and scored 4 runs on his record-setting day. Júlio Nieves singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Kyung-nam Kim in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, walked in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Gabriel Alicea in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off José Orozco in the 9th. Nieves is currently batting .346 with 15 home runs and 41 RBIs. |
