Paredes Goes 5-for-6
Thursday, May 13th , 2032
The Johnstown Jets stopped the Charlotte Webs by a score of 15-3 at The Castle of Kansas City today, with the lion's share of the credit going to second baseman José Paredes. The 18-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Paredes said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Paredes did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Webs.

"Not much that I can say," offered Charlotte manager Pep Harris. "He just hammered the heck out of us."

José Paredes hit a solo-shot off Sergio Olvera in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run triple in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Ángel Hernández in the 8th.

Paredes is presently hitting at a .401 pace with 22 home runs, 58 RBIs and has scored 50 times.
