Torres Homers 3 Times Against Squirrel Hill
Saturday, April 10th , 2032
Robinson Torres went on an explosive hitting spree against the Squirrel Hill Pirates at The Enforcer Grounds today, launching a trio of blasts to lead the Inverness Highlanders to the 7-4 win.
The first baseman finished 4-for-5 with 3 runs scored and 4 RBI.
"It was just one of those days," Torres said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball."
Squirrel Hill skipper Ben Trent said Torres was "locked-in."
"We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him."
Robinson Torres hit a two-run home run off Enrique Olvera in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Enrique Olvera in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off José Miranda in the 9th.
