Chirole Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Monday, September 6th , 2027 The Tiefengrund Tropics fell to the Nahanni Valley Wolves in Lynx Park today, even as 18-year-old second baseman Sergio Chirole upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Chirole finished with 2 hits in 5 at-bats, but could not stop the Tropics from dropping the 17-8 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Chirole. Sergio Chirole singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. This season Chirole has hit at a .302 clip and produced 46 RBI, 2 home runs and 53 runs. |
