Inverness Moves on to League Championship Tuesday, September 23rd , 2031 The Inverness Highlanders out-dueled and outgunned the British Columbia Lumberjacks in the Division Championship and are on to the next round. Inverness won the final game 8-7 at Bombers Ballpark and the series 4-2. Teika Kitamura was named series MVP for a strong offensive performance during the Division Championship. He had a .417 average with a .440 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 10 RBI and scored 5 runs. "I was seeing the ball well and glad to help my team out and get us to the League Championship," he said. The Inverness Highlanders will play against the Whistler Avalanche in the next round.
