Durán Keeps Hit Streak Alive Wednesday, September 10th , 2031 Whistler lost to the Wolfville Farmers 7-1 at South End Stadium today, but Jorge Durán kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 2 hits. The Avalanche first baseman has now delivered hits in 25 straight games. "Jorge has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Whistler manager Mike Allen told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Jorge Durán flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. Thus far this year Durán is batting .396 with 4 home runs, 33 RBIs and 27 runs scored. |
