Big Day for Prado: Swats 5 Hits Monday, May 9th , 2005 Carlos Prado had an answer for everything the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes threw at him at The Epicenter. The Fort Myers second baseman went 5-for-6 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the Miracle a win, 12-7. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Prado said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Carlos Prado singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Waner Mateo in the 6th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. So far on the season, Prado is hitting .374 with 6 home runs, 18 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He has 40 hits and played in 26 games. |
