Jeroen van Donkelaar Chosen EC's Top Player Monday, November 3rd , 2031 He may have less experience than most of his College Baseball peers, but that didn't slow Jeroen van Donkelaar down at all in 2031. At the age of 20, the Illinois first baseman has been named the winner of the Eastern Conference Outstanding Hitter Award. He had a .379 batting average and a .438 on-base percentage this year. In 141 games he piled up 197 hits, 49 doubles, no triples, 52 home runs, 154 RBIs and 118 runs scored. "I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year." He received 68 first place votes out of a possible 96. Ted Fitzgerald of the Georgia Southern Eagles finished second in voting with 19 first place votes, while Kyle Holden of the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns finished third with 6 first place votes.
