Avalanche Win Division Championship
The Whistler Avalanche are on to the League Championship after a convincing series win over the South Bend Cubs.

Whistler wrapped up the series sweep with a 5-1 win in the last game, to take the series 4-0.

"We expected to win and we executed the way we needed to," said Iván Díaz, who was named series MVP.

For the series, Díaz hit .643 with a .688 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 6 runs.

The Whistler Avalanche don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the British Columbia Lumberjacks - Kauai Chiefs series. British Columbia leads the series 3 games to 0. The League Championship schedule will be announced after the Division Championship finishes.
