There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.

Carl LaFrance is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Miami Matadors at John Lee Pettimore Field today. The monster effort from the 18-year-old right fielder helped the Tiefengrund Tropics take the win, 10-4.

"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Matadors manager Carlos Rodriguez. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."

Carl LaFrance hit a two-run double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Sinclair Oolbekkink in the 8th.

Currently LaFrance is batting .389 with 42 hits and 4 home runs. He has knocked in 23 runs and scored 22 times.
