NYPL Relief Ace Gangi Named Best Hurler Thursday, September 1st , 2005 The New York-Pennsylvania League announced the winner of the Pitcher of the Month Award. It went to bullpen ace Aaron Gangi of Brooklyn for his outstanding work on the mound. During the month, the Cyclones star stood out with no saves in no save opportunities, a 0.76 ERA and 4 wins and no losses. In 35.1 innings he struck out 37 and gave up 24 hits and 11 walks. To date this year, Gangi has won 6 and lost 2 with a 2.76 ERA, no saves and 71 strikeouts in no relief appearances. |
