Lee Bashes 5 Base Hits Thursday, July 29th , 2004 It was a parade of hits for Carlos Lee of the Vancouver Canadians at Nat Bailey Stadium. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Lee finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Canadians to a win, 10-2. "Lee was really good and we were really bad," groaned Twins manager Art Viola. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Carlos Lee singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Enyelbert Soto in the 8th. This year, Lee has hit at a .478 pace and produced 10 RBIs, 3 home runs and scored 6 runs. |
