5-Hit Blitz by Weber
Tuesday, July 5th , 2005
It was a parade of hits for Chris Weber of the Pulaski Rangers at Calfee Park.
Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Weber finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Rangers to a win, 4-3.
"Weber was really good and we were really bad," groaned Bears manager Aldo Cortez. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him."
Chris Weber hit a solo-shot off Rodolfo Aguirre in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
Weber is batting at a .296 pace this season, picking up 16 hits in 54 at-bats with 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
