Lakewood Helpless Against Van Dusen, Lose 7-0 Sunday, August 21st , 2005 Derrick Van Dusen blitzed the Lakewood BlueClaws at FirstEnergy Park, pitching the Hagerstown Suns to victory, 7-0. Van Dusen went 9 innings to shut out the BlueClaws, striking out 8. "I knew he had it in him, but it's still nice to see him put it all together," said Hagerstown manager Corey Vermillion. Van Dusen surrendered 2 hits and 2 walks in the outing. On the year, Van Dusen has compiled a 10-3 mark with a 3.89 ERA. |
