Going, Going, Gone! LaHair Hits 3 Homers Thursday, August 4th , 2005 Bryan LaHair of the Dragons went on a hitting spree at FirstEnergy Park and earned membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He blasted three into the stands in a loss, 12-8, to the Lakewood BlueClaws. "I'm not happy with the outcome of the game, but it was still a great game for me," LaHair said in the clubhouse following the loss. "I have been making solid contact lately, but not getting any lift. Today I got it up in the air and out of the ballpark. I had my home run swing down pat. Got some good pitches to hit, too." The Dayton first baseman did indeed have quite a game, collecting 4 hits in 4 at-bats, 3 RBIs and scoring 4 runs. Bryan LaHair hit a solo-shot off Logan Williamson in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Alfredo Venegas in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Ronny Malave in the 8th. During the current season LaHair is batting at a .309 clip with 18 home runs and 51 RBIs. He has played in 102 games and scored 56 times. |
