The future looks extremely bright for B.J. Syzmanski. At the age of 22, many players are still trying to find their way in Midwest League.

Syzmanski has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Midwest League Most Valuable Player Award.

"I didn't expect to hit .334 this year, that's for sure," the center fielder said.

The Columbus Red Stixx star also put up a .396 on-base percentage this year, with 166 hits, 32 doubles, 6 triples, 42 home runs, 114 RBIs and 115 runs scored.

He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 14. Chris Iannetta of the Cedar Rapids Kernels finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Andy Marte of the Burlington Bees finished third.
