Great Stroke: Anderson Gets 5 Hits
Saturday, August 27th , 2005
It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Josh Anderson. Anderson went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Greensboro pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at World War Memorial Stadium, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Burlington Bees had a win, 21-7, over the Bats.
"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.
Josh Anderson singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Maximo De La Cruz in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Pat Stanley in the 6th, walked in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.
So far this season, Anderson has 13 home runs and a .275 batting average.
