Aguilar Carolina League's Hottest Hitter Monday, July 18th , 2005 The Salem Avalanche received word today that third baseman Arturo Aguilar was selected Carolina League Player of the Week for his stellar performance in last week's games. Aguilar took full advantage of all 28 plate appearances last week as he hit .458 with 11 hits, 3 home runs, 11 RBIs and 5 runs scored. Aguilar's current batting average stands at .333 and he has chalked up 5 home runs and 19 RBIs. |
