Sutton Goes on Rampage Against Golden Eagles Saturday, July 17th , 2032 There are moments in a player's career that they will not soon forget. Joel Sutton of the Knox Central Panthers had one such moment at Ballpark of Indianapolis HS today, when he went 5 for 5 at the plate. His hitting heroics weren't enough to pull out the victory, however, and Knox Central fell to a 6-5 defeat to the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles. "This was quite a day for me individually, but a little disheartening at the same time," the 16-year-old left fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "It would have been very special if we had won the game." Joel Sutton hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Randy Caldwell in the 7th and singled in the 9th. In 2032 Sutton has hit at a .380 clip with 116 hits, 17 home runs, 55 RBIs and has scored 72 times. View Boxscore |
