Edgardo Montoya has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 17-year-old El Toro Elephants third baseman extended his streak today to 20 games, going 2-for-4 as El Toro got the best of the East Lake Express at Safeco Field, 14-6.

"Edgardo has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Elephants manager Ryan Zimmerman said.
Edgardo Montoya hit an RBI double in the 1st, flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Josef van Hal in the 4th and flied out in the 5th.

In 83 games this season Montoya has compiled a .286 batting average with 88 hits and 13 home runs. He has also scored 34 times and knocked in 37 runs.
