Year Ends for Mel Blackmore in Neilburg Composite Wednesday, June 9th , 2032 The season is finished for Mel Blackmore of the Neilburg Composite Trojans. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Trojans reliever suffered radial nerve compression while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Yorktown Patriots. Team doctors said it would take at least 8-9 months to heal. Blackmore has made 11 relief appearances this year and notched no saves. To date in 13.2 innings he has a 1-2 record, 11.20 ERA with 7 strikeouts and 8 walks. |
