Corrigan No-Hits Etiwanda
Wednesday, May 26th , 2032
William Corrigan was just plain nasty on the mound today, overpowering the Etiwanda Eclipse in a complete game no-hitter.
The right-hander used his signature slider to perfection as the North Gwinnett Ghostriders waltzed to a 8-0 win.
"He was what the kids call 'filthy,'" losing manager Cesar Izturis said later.
In a dominant performance, Corrigan faced 28 batters in all and finished the game with 8 strikeouts and 2 walks.
"After the first couple of innings, I knew I had some good stuff going," Corrigan said. "In the bullpen, it really wasn't that good, to be honest. But when I got out on the mound and flipped the switch, I had some pretty good stuff."
In 8 starts this season, Corrigan has recorded 3 wins and absorbed 2 losses. He has pitched 43.2 innings, allowed 32 hits, struck out 30 and has a 2.27 ERA.
