Sacred Heart Cathedral first baseman Orlando Castillo thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Sacred Heart Cathedral to a 16-1 win over Pascack Hills. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Castillo said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Castillo was 3-for-4 on the day with 7 runs batted in. Orlando Castillo hit a two-run home run off Wibren van der Lack in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Wibren van der Lack in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Stewart Mathis in the 5th. For the season Castillo is currently batting .368 with 10 home runs and 26 RBIs. In 25 games he has reached base at a .415 rate and scored 18 runs to date. |
