Sutton Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Thursday, April 29th , 2032 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Joel Sutton did it again, bashing 1 hit in the contest at Mahaney Diamond today. For the last 20 games in a row, the 15-year-old left fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Knox Central Panthers beat the Rio Americano Raiders 7-3 today. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Sutton told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Knox Central clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Joel Sutton struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th and grounded out in the 6th. Currently Sutton is batting .436 with 4 home runs, 14 RBIs and 13 runs scored. |
