Russell Powers 3 HR Against Elma Saturday, April 17th , 2032 Joel Russell was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 11-1 Hoover Hound Dogs triumph at Chandler HS Grounds today. The 15-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Hound Dogs past the Elma Eagles. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Russell told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The shortstop went 4-for-5, rung up 5 RBIs and scored 4 runs on his record-setting day. Joel Russell hit a solo-shot off Ron Davis in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Ron Davis in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Kevin Bowman in the 8th. |
