Cowboys Star Wins 2031 Outstanding Pitcher Award

Konrad de Smet of the Pascack Hills Cowboys had a fine 12-4 season in 2031 and today claimed the Marvin League Outstanding Pitcher Award.

He started 26 times, threw 140.2 innings while collecting 130 strikeouts and fashioned a 1.92 ERA. de Smet allowed only 109 hits, 38 walks and a .215 opponents' batting average.

He received 66 first place votes out of a possible 72. Miguel Pérez of the Ketcham Indians finished second in voting, while Manuel Bardales of the Mosley Mosquitoes finished third with 6 first place votes.
