Ch'oe Grabs ML Reliever of the Year Award

At the age of 17, Byung-hyun Ch'oe says he still has a lot to learn about life in National High School Federation.

But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Burroughs Bombers reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2031 Marvin League Reliever of the Year Award.

"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the
Inchon, South Korea native said.

For the season, Ch'oe had 36 saves in 50 relief appearances, which totaled 54.2. He fanned 69 betters, while walking 16 and put up a record of 5-3 to go with his 0.82 ERA.

He received 69 first place votes out of a possible 72. Ronald Brackenbury of the West Morris Wolfpack finished second in voting, while Heath Sanders of the John Jay Patriots finished third with 2 first place votes.
