William Thurman said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 15 years old.

But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles rising star has won the Trillian League Reliever of the Year Award for 2031.

He captured the award on the strength of his 1.38 ERA over 52 innings. He also had 7 saves in 45 relief appearances, 43 strikeouts and only 7 walks.

He received 53 first place votes out of a possible 72. Danny Willerton of the Madawaska Valley Wolves finished second in voting with 14 first place votes, while Jonathan Guérin of the Butler Golden Tornado finished third with 1 first place vote.
