Manager Flunks in DeSoto Central -- Marquis Canned Friday, October 24th , 2031 Jason Marquis's tenure with the DeSoto Central Jaguars is over. Marquis was officially fired from his position as team manager today, following a two-hour closed-door meeting with the club's owner and general manager. "We certainly didn't see eye-to-eye on every issue, but I guess at the end of the day they feel the team is better off without me running it. There's not much I can do about that," Marquis told BNN. "Do I want to stay here and try to turn this team around? Of course I do, but such is life." Team officials have remained unusually quiet on the specific reasons behind the firing and have thus far refused to discuss the issue with media. |
