Goats Heading to Semi-Finals Sunday, October 5th , 2031 The fans in Gulfport are celebrating the Goats victory over the Loomis Chaffee Pelicans in the Divisional Round. They defeated the Loomis Chaffee Pelicans 4-3 in the finale played at Fiondella Field to capture the series 4-2. Martin Durham was chosen the series' Most Valuable Player. The Goats shortstop batted .400, drove in 8 runs and scored 5 runs in the series. "The Pelicans are a good club and I don't mean any disrespect to their pitching staff, but things just felt easy this series," Durham said. "Everything at the plate seemed right." The Gulfport Goats don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Blessed Trinity Black Bears - Pascack Hills Cowboys series.
