Saint John Wins Wildcard Round Friday, September 26th , 2031 It was a rousing finish to the Wildcard Round at Mahaney Diamond today. The Saint John Greyhounds sent the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles home for the season with a 5-1 win in the decisive game of the series. The Greyhounds took the series 4-3. Up next on their schedule is the Divisional Round. Hauling in the MVP trophy was Saint John catcher Bartolo Cruz. His numbers included a .357 batting average, 7 RBIs and 10 runs. "With any luck, I'll be hoisting another one of these at the end of the Divisional Round," he said. The Saint John Greyhounds will play against the Valley Central Vikings in the next round.
