Vikings Move on to Divisional Round Tuesday, September 23rd , 2031 After eliminating the East Lake Express 4-3 in the Wildcard Round at Varsity Field, the victorious Valley Central Vikings will now move on to the next round: the Divisional Round. Valley Central beat East Lake 4-1 in the series. The MVP trophy was awarded to Vikings first baseman Ricardo Espitia, who knocked in 6 runs, hit .368 and scored 6 times. "The guys were all chanting 'M-V-P' when I went into the clubhouse," Espitia said later, with a smile. "It was kind of embarrassing but it feels great to be here." The Valley Central Vikings don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles - Saint John Greyhounds series.
