Rebels Heading to Divisional Round
Tuesday, September 23rd , 2031
The Boone County Rebels clubhouse was filled with glee and celebration tonight, while the Cocoa Tigers room was filled with despair and sadness after the Wildcard Round concluded.

"Someone's got to win and someone's got to lose, we're just glad we're on the good end of it tonight and can enjoy this," said Enrique García, who was named MVP for a strong series of offensive performance.

Boone County won the final game by a 9-3 count at Jim Patterson Stadium and the series 4-1.

Cocoa manager Vicente Montoya was simple and to-the-point in his assessment of the series.

"They were the better team and deserve to move on," he said.

For the series, García hit .333 with a .520 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 7 runs.

The Boone County Rebels don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the West Monroe Monarchs - Wylie Coyotes series. Wylie leads the series 3 games to 1. The Divisional Round schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Round finishes.
