Dan Gustafson Lost for Season Sunday, September 14th , 2031 The doctors have spoken and Dan Gustafson of the Kearns Cougars didn't like what he heard. The 16-year-old center fielder is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Gustafson sustained his season-ending injury during the Monroe Bearcats game yesterday at Bannerwood Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Kearns medical staff reported Gustafson had a torn meniscus and would be absent from the lineup for at least 5 months. In 125 games this year Gustafson has posted a .294 average and put up these numbers: 6 home runs, 48 RBIs and 56 runs scored. |
