Ross Belts Bunch of Base Hits Saturday, September 6th , 2031 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Foxborough's 11-3 win over Cocoa today, left fielder Troy Ross was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Alumni Field. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Ross said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Troy Ross hit a solo-shot off Alejandro Velázquez in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 7th. Ross is hitting .317 so far this season with 44 RBIs and 48 runs scored. He has 98 hits including 9 home runs, 18 walks and .355 OBP. View Boxscore |
