Burroughs's van der Heyden to Miss Season Friday, August 22nd , 2031 When Erwin van der Heyden was hurt against the Hoover Hound Dogs, the Burroughs Bombers were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 16-year-old center fielder suffered a severely strained hip muscle running the bases in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that van der Heyden would miss 4-5 months of the season. Presently van der Heyden is hitting .282 with 11 home runs and 46 RBIs.
