Hernández Bashes 5 Base Hits Friday, August 1st , 2031 All game long, Chesterton's Ramón Hernández was rattling the walls at Pete Beiden Field and banging out base hits against the Simeon Wolverines. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Trojans had a 12-2 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 16-year-old left fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Ramón Hernández singled in the 1st, hit a three-run double in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Pepe Cabrera in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
