Elephants Lee Thompson Down and Out for Year Friday, July 25th , 2031 The season is finished for Lee Thompson of the El Toro Elephants. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Elephants closer suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Knox Central Panthers. Team doctors said it would take at least 13 months to heal. This year Lee Thompson has been credited with 23 saves. In 33 relief appearances and 31.1 innings pitched, he has a 3-1 won-lost mark, 2.59 ERA and 29 strikeouts |
