Eric Swanson Hurt, Out for Year Tuesday, May 27th , 2031 Ingraham starting pitcher Eric Swanson could miss the remainder of the season because of a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament. He exited yesterday's John Jay game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Swanson would be out 12-13 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." In 4 starts this season, Swanson has picked up 1 win while suffering 1 loss. He has pitched 17.1 innings, allowed 21 hits, struck out 12 and posted a 5.19 ERA. |
