Hobbs's Hit Streak Soars to 36 Games
Tuesday, June 15th , 2032
The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks fell to the North Dakota Fighting Hawks in Jaycees Field today, even as 19-year-old center fielder Bill Hobbs upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 36 games. Hobbs finished with 1 hit in 1 at-bat, but could not stop the Lumberjacks from dropping the 10-2 decision.

"Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Hobbs.
Bill Hobbs doubled in the 8th.

This season Hobbs has hit 10 home runs and posted a .386 batting average.
