35-Game Hitting Streak for Hobbs Monday, June 14th , 2032 The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks stopped the Texas Longhorns today 4-2 and Bill Hobbs collected a base hit yet again. The Stephen F. Austin center fielder finished with 3 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 35. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Hobbs told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Bill Hobbs flied out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Hobbs is batting at a .383 pace this season, picking up 82 hits in 214 at-bats with 10 home runs, 35 RBIs and 39 runs scored. |
