Hobbs Runs Hit String to 34 Straight Games Sunday, June 13th , 2032 Bill Hobbs of the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks tagged 1 hit in today's 12-2 loss to the BYU Cougars at Jaycees Field to run his hitting streak to 34 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 34-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Bill Hobbs struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and flied out in the 7th. This year Hobbs is batting .376 with 10 home runs. |
