Smith on Fire: 5-for-6 for Arizona Friday, June 11th , 2032 Clancy Smith really sizzled at the plate in today's 11-4 win over Bulldogs. The Arizona first baseman blistered Fresno State for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Smith was too tough to get out today," the Bulldogs skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Clancy Smith singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Brian Bell in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, flied out in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Faukhraddin Manvelov in the 9th.
