Hobbs Keeps Hit Streak Alive Thursday, June 3rd , 2032 The number just keeps getting higher. Stephen F. Austin center fielder Bill Hobbs has now extended his hitting string to 25 games. He did it today with 3 hits in 4 at-bats as the Stephen F. Austin took the 6-4 win over the San Diego Toreros at Fowler Park. "Who knows how long it will go on?" San Diego manager Ben Haggans said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Bill Hobbs singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Bryce Douglas in the 8th. Currently Hobbs has 8 home runs and a .374 batting average. |
