Hobbs Keeps Hit Streak Alive Friday, May 28th , 2032 Bill Hobbs of the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks extended his hitting streak to 20 straight games with 2 hits in today's 5-1 triumph over the Air Force Falcons at Falcon Baseball Field. "Bill has been making it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup every day," Lumberjacks manager Paul Bako joked after the game. Bill Hobbs singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th and grounded out in the 8th. In the current season, Hobbs has put up a .364 batting average with 56 hits, 6 home runs, 24 RBI and scored 30 runs. |
